With over two decades of sustained research and policy influence, Prof. Zhang has established herself as a nationally recognised authority in emergency governance and social risk management. Her scholarly work spans theoretical frameworks and applied policy, with findings directly informing government practice at the national level.
She has led four national-level funded research projects — including key projects under the National Social Science Fund of China — and has published more than 300 peer-reviewed papers and 13 academic monographs. Her research has received wide recognition from China's State Council and provincial governments.
Zhang Qin is a distinguished professor at Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. He serves as the director of NUAA's Institute of National Security and Emergency Management.
