Please read this policy carefully to understand how NUAA collects, uses, protects and manages personal information.
Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (hereinafter referred to as "NUAA" or "the University") is committed to protecting the privacy and security of personal data for our students, faculty, staff, alumni, and online visitors. This Privacy Policy outlines our standards and procedures regarding the collection, processing, usage, and security of personal information.
This policy applies to all official NUAA digital services, including the main university website (www.nuaa.edu.cn), official campus mobile applications, research portals, and connected educational administration systems. We operate in strict compliance with the Personal Information Protection Law of the People's Republic of China (PIPL), the Cybersecurity Law of the PRC, and all other applicable data protection regulations and national standards.
To facilitate campus services such as secure login, navigation, payments, and push notifications, official NUAA mobile applications integrate several reputable third-party Software Development Kits (SDKs). We perform security assessments on these providers to ensure your data receives equal protective custody.
For optimal functionality on mobile platforms, official NUAA utility applications require specific operating system permissions. These permissions are only invoked when executing associated campus features.

Information collected is strictly deployed for academic enrollment, course assignment, exam scheduling, dormitory management, library checkout permissions, cafeteria/merchant payments, and campus security authentication.
All personal data is stored securely on specialized servers located physically within the territory of the People's Republic of China, in strict compliance with state data localization regulations.
Personal datasets are maintained exclusively for the period of your active enrollment, employment, or contractual relations, extended only by statutory academic preservation laws.
NUAA does not sell, trade, or rent personal information to external commercial third parties. Information may be shared only with authorized national educational departments, government security agencies as mandated by law, or university-contracted system providers bound tightly by written confidentiality accords.

Except as required under litigation or statutory decree, NUAA will never publicly disclose personal academic, medical, or security data.
Encryption protocols (SSL/TLS), rigid firewall barriers, and compartmentalized access rights are continually monitored by the University Network Security Operations Center.
Under national laws, users maintain statutory authority over their data assets. You can exercise these through the official NUAA administrative desk.
Users can view active identity datasets, grades, and campus payment profiles through single-sign-on (SSO) login portals.
Inaccuracies in personal data should be flagged via standard university request channels to official academic registries.
Upon separation from the university, you may request permanent erasure of optional secondary network accounts.
Consent given for optional notification groups or third-party academic integrations can be retracted at any moment.
Upon graduation or official departure from NUAA, administrative digital accounts are kept for 24 months. Past this regulatory storage phase, accounts and all linked identity logs will be permanently deleted unless legal archiving mandates dictate otherwise.
You have the right to request a digital download of major academic transcripts and formal records in a standardized format.
All university members must utilize our Unified Identity Authentication system. Users hold personal accountability for maintaining complex passwords, activating multifactor security elements where applicable, and reporting all compromised accounts immediately to network offices.
Official network resources must be used exclusively to support research, instructional progress, student administration, and legitimate student lifestyle projects.
Strictly prohibited activities include unauthorized server access, malware distribution, academic dishonesty facilitated by network pathways, digital harassment of university members, or identity impersonation.
NUAA retains state-approved rights to alter, pause, or suspend regional system access for reasons of technical maintenance, legal updates, or emergency cyber situations. Major changes will be publicized on official student channels.
All layout scripts, digital publications, logo vectors, research reports, and database arrays rendered on NUAA pages remain exclusive property of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, requiring written consent for external republishing.
NUAA reserves the right to update this Privacy Policy. Substantial changes will be communicated through official university channels, including direct administrative email notices and banner updates on the official portal. Continued deployment of our systems constitutes clear acceptance of updated clauses.
The university holds no legal liability for content reliability, privacy rules, or services deployed on outbound hyperlink networks outside official NUAA administration control.
Violations of this privacy code or national cyber law by university members may trigger internal disciplinary reviews, network restriction orders, or formal legal action.
This Privacy Policy is governed entirely under the laws of the People's Republic of China. All arising disputes shall be settled through consultative review. If initial consultation fails, disputes must be submitted to the People's Court of Jiangning District, Nanjing, Jiangsu Province.
If any provision of this policy is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. For any questions regarding your data privacy, please contact the NUAA Information Office:
